Life Coaches for Kids® is a non-profit ministry committed to helping children from single parent families by linking them with caring Christian mentors. Life Coaches® equips churches and youth ministries with the vision, training, organization and support to form one-on-one mentoring relationships.

Coaches for Kid, making this ministry available to the Greater New Orleans area.

Cooper's Story
Cooper was only three when his dad left. Now 14, Cooper still dreams of finding his father someday. Four years ago, Cooper was matched with a Life Coach named Dave. Dave is an engineer and athlete and Cooper liked him from the start. The two went swimming, roller blading, shot hoops and played golf. Cooper said he looked up to Dave almost like a father because they could talk about things like school and friends and faith. Cooper says,
"When I am around Dave, it makes me want to be closer to God. Dave is into God and I want that too." Dave invited Cooper to his workplace and showed him how to build some things. Cooper was good at it. Right now Cooper is taking a pre-engineering class in high school and has the second highest grade in Math class. Following in
Dave's footsteps, Cooper plans to go to college and become an engineer. In Cooper's words,
"Having a Life Coach is cool. It's someone to hang out with. Any kid would like it!"

Life Coaches for Kids is Cost Effective
While most mentoring organizations estimate their costs between $2,000 and $4,000 per match, Life Coaches for Kids® is approximately $1000 per match.
Investments that make a Difference--- $1000 supports a Life Coach match for one year.
$250 provides training and support to mentor a child for 3 months.
$30 pays for the cost of a national background check for prospective coaches.
$15 can purchase a manual to train a mentor.
Check on Employer Matching Gifts at your workplace. Many companies will match employee gifts to charities.
All of our work is done through partners. Churches form the backbone of the Life Coaches for Kids ministry. We help develop the vision, lay leadership, training of mentors and critical support ensuring a successful mentoring ministry in your church. Read more.
